Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Master Key System Academy (the "Academy", "we", "us"), available at themasterkeysystemacademy.com and related domains (the "Service"). By creating an account or enrolling in the course you agree to these Terms.

1. The Course

The Service provides a 24-week structured educational programme based on the public-domain work The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel (1916), together with original commentary, exercises, audio, written assessments, community spaces, optional AI study aids, and a certificate upon completion. The Service is provided for personal educational use only.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to enrol. By enrolling you confirm that you are. Accounts may not be shared. Each account is licensed to one natural person.

3. Enrolment, Pricing & Payment

Enrolment is a one-time purchase that grants lifetime access to the current course materials, community, and certificate. Prices are shown at checkout and processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

4. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of enrolment, on the conditions set out in our Refund Policy. To request a refund, write to the contact address with your account email and order reference.

5. Your Account

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

6. Acceptable Use

• Do not share, resell, sublicense, or publicly post course materials.
• Do not attempt to circumvent access controls, scrape content, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Do not upload unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing material to community spaces.
• Do not impersonate another student or staff member.

7. Intellectual Property

The original Haanel text is in the public domain. All commentary, lesson rewrites, exercises, audio recordings, video, design, illustrations, code, and the Academy brand are © The Master Key System Academy and protected by copyright. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access them for your own study. You may print short excerpts for personal use.

8. User Content

Journal entries are private to you. Posts you submit in Mastermind or Alumni are shared with other students in those spaces. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and moderate that content inside the Service. You retain ownership of your content and may delete your posts at any time.

9. AI Features

Some written prompts may offer AI-generated reflections as a study aid. AI outputs are not professional advice, are not graded, and do not determine progression. We may use anonymised prompts and responses to improve the quality of the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific result will be achieved by following the course. The Service is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. See our Disclaimer for the full statement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Academy, its founders, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for enrolment in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for material breach of these Terms or the Community Guidelines. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will do so.

13. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the course materials, features, or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to the Terms will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Academy is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law grants you the right to bring claims in your country of residence.
